Support

The term "support" includes both payments made by one spouse to the other for maintenance of living conditions (commonly called "alimony"); and payments made by the spouse who does not have physical custody of the children for the children's living expenses. Included in child support is an amount for child care if the parent having physical custody of the children works outside of the home.
